In the snowy realm of Damüls Faschina, apart from alpine skiing in the ski areas of Damüls-Mellau and Faschina, there is also a well-developed network of groomed winter hiking trails. These trails are regularly groomed and offer a wonderful winter experience.
Snowshoeing
Damüls Faschina is well-known for its abudant snowfall, making it a popular destination for snowshoe enthusiasts from near and far. The region around the Faschina Pass offers plenty of variety for both beginners and experienced snowshoers.
MARKED SNOWSHOE ROUTES
The two towns between the Bregenzerwald and the Großes Walsertal Biosphere Reserve offer a fine selection of snowshoe routes. You can find designated or marked snowshoe routes in nearby Au-Schoppernau, Fontanella, or Sonntag. In the Damüls Faschina area, you can explore the designated winter hiking trails or their surroundings with snowshoes, or you can create your own route in the squeaky snow.
GUIDED SNOWSHOE TOURS
In Damüls Faschina, guided tours into the “Tiefenwald” (deep forest) are offered weekly. These tours are professionally guided by our partner, BERGaktiv. Registrations for the tours can be made at the tourist office in Damüls or directly with BERGaktiv.
SNOWSHOE RENTAL
